We're committed to supporting every learner, including students with 504 Plans, Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), Multi-Lingual Learners, and Gifted Individualized Education Plans (GIEPs)

From extended time on assessments to assistive technology to enrichment resources for gifted learners, we tailor each experience to fit the student.

Meeting Students Where They Are
504 Plans
We understand that every student has unique needs, and for students with disabilities who don't require special instruction, 504 Plans provide essential support to ensure they have equal access to learning. These plans focus on making necessary accommodations in both in-person and virtual environments to help students fully participate in their education.
Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
For students with more specific learning needs, our Special Education staff work in collaboration with your home school or district to tailor strategies in alignment with your child's IEP to provide the support and services they require in a virtual environment. Individualized digital learning plans are created to accommodate each student's unique needs and learning styles.
Gifted Individualized Education Plans (GIEPs)
For our gifted learners, we create an enriching virtual learning experience aligned with each child's GIEP. We recognize that gifted students think and process information differently, often at a faster and more complex rate, and our online platform is built to cater to those unique learning profiles.
Multilingual Learners Services
Multilingual Learners Services provides a language instruction program to enable Multilingual Learners (MLs) to progress academically while they develop English proficiency.
The program delivers planned instruction matched to each student's individual needs, based on English language proficiency level as identified through multiple criteria in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
CUSD Virtual Related Services
Special Education Services provides a full continuum of virtual support to help students with disabilities access and progress in their education. Services include occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech-language therapy, executive functioning support, social skills instruction, and resource room, delivered by certified specialists in a virtual setting.
